Essex Magician Barry Hicks Exibted at The Havering Expo at the CEME Innovation Centre, Dagenham Tuesday 17th May 2011

About 40 exhibitors attended from 9.00am to 6.00pm. Met some old clients and new and had the chance to show some Trade Show routines

including their companies unique selling points within the presentation.

These were well received and I had great feedback.

The show was not as busy as I expected but never less made some useful new contacts and possible bookings.l

Attend my second meeting at the Queens Theatre - very good turnout and received a provisional booking for June.

Also invited to technical Rehearsal of the Rocky Horror Show next week which I understand as sold over 8000 tickets already

Also spoke about the Havering Expo. where I will be exhibiting

Attended with my wife my local magic clubs annual dinner

(The Ilford Magical Society) at Top Meadow

Golf Club & Hotel. Nice to meet fellow members

and family and friends socially.

Food was excellent as was the whole running of the evening.

Cabaret was Richard Pinner MIMC who managed very well considering the lay out of the room and was much appreciated by the fellow magicians there as well as their families

The trophies were awarded and nice to see a close colleauge of mine Paul Clancy collecting several trophies for winning competitions -Stage and Close up Magic amongst them.. Well deserved for all the hardwork he has put in this year.

Went straight to the Doyle Club from the Business Growth Show and took a representative from Five Lakes Hotel, Maldon, Essex.

Usual crowd - did a little bit of magic and been invited to a BNI lunchtime meeting in few weeks time.

Not a bad day with some promises of future work.

Weather held - no rain and turned out a nice day.
Couple came from the church in Horse and Carriage.
Brilliant Wedding - My performences went down well - Glenys of Morestan catering as promised put me a dinner aside.
The food was brilliant only wish I would have had more time to enjoy it.
Bride & Groom Bonnie & Kevin looked fabulous.
I hope my next wedding booking is as good.

Also interesting new supplier F1 Driver who provide a F1 car simulator for Corporate events etc.

All in all a good day.
