performed close up magic at the Essex Business Network's Black Tie Ball in aid of Help for Heroes, the charity that helps injured serviceman. Tim, who served in the army for 20 years said"It was an honour to give up some of our time to help this very worthy cause"

Dorothea Jacobs, one of the organisers thanked the magicians "Thanks for your assistance, the magic was fantastic and greatly appreicated by all those present. I am pleased that the event raised over £8500"

I was performing at the reception and tables last night helping to raise money for Help for Heroes function at Orsett Hall, Grays, Essex organised by the Essex Business Network - along with two other magicians. 350 people attended this Black Tie Banquet Evening with guest celebrities and surprises. Speaking to one of the organisers they hope to raise £10,000 from this event. There were actual serving soldiers at the event - I left before the end and it appeared to be a very successful evening

Just reporting after todays Wedding Fair - Very well attended all 300 goodie bags went plus a lot more people attended. A lot of interest was shown at many of the exhibitors stands and many of the couples expressed interest in booking me for their wedding and will sign up for my regular newsletter.

New wedding venue inside Wat Tyler Country Park -The Wedding fair yesterday considering the rain it was very well attended for a small wedding fair, 165 Brides and their families and friends attended and a lot of interest was shown for booking a magician at their wedding

Also took some enquires regarding a Ruby Wedding and a 21st Birthday party

Since arriving home have received requests for availability dates for next year.

I exhibited both days

Understand first Essex Party & Event show - very well organised - had a lot of response from corporate bookers as well as companies and made lots of contacts with other entertainers at the show. Also had a few Wedding enquires - Although not as many people attended as expected

but gave me more time to be with prospective bookers. Enjoyed the two days

Barry Hicks at Wedding Fair The Belvedere, Billericay 100110

Exhibited yesterday at The Belverdere Wedding Fair and due to the weather felt it may not be a good day.

How wrong I was - It was quite well attended and I had a lot of interest from prospective couple

who had never thought of booking a magician at a wedding

Many of them subscribed to my Newsletter and several will getting back to me in the next week or so. I hope I will have the dates available

Had a very busy December - amongst the hi-lites did two wonderfull Weddings in the snow

worked in a a Casino did the gala nights and New Years eve at The Manor Hotel, Rainham, Essex

Also did many Xmas parties and took several bookings for next year (2010)
